FOOD TO AVOID WHEN HAVING FIBROID



MISTAKES WE SHOULD AVOID

It is true that fruits and vegetables and some spices are good for women not only with fibroid but generally as a whole. Here is a few tip we might want to take note of.

1. Overcooking- Most vegetables are meant to be eaten raw or slightly cooked. However most people tend to boil them or cook them for too long. When you do that, we lose vitamins

2. Not using them the right way- we may hear lemons are good for fibroid so people tend to eat lemons in their raw state on an empty stomach. When you do that, you increase the acidity level in your stomach and this can lead to stomach ulcers.

It is researched that fibroid growth largely is as a result of hormonal imbalances or excess oestrogen levels in the body. So technically speaking, it is best to avoid taking in meals that have the tendency to cause excessive hormonal activities in the body. Here are a few meals one should not eat during such times



1. Sugary foods

For example ice creams, doughnuts, desserts, toffees, candies, table sugar and many more. Sugar contains glucose which supplies the body with energy. However too much of it impacts one's hormonal state making them overly active. Therefore they should be avoided



2. High Dairy Content foods

Foods that have high dairy content have been researched not to be good for women with fibroid. Milky foods also trigger the excessive activity of hormones because of its high protein content. For example whole milk, ideal milk.

3. Alcohol and caffeine

Alcohol and caffeine are a bad combination for one battling with fibroid growth and therfore should be avoided.

4. Carbonated drinks

Who wouldn't want a chilled drink on a sunny day? Carbonated drinks are just not healthy for our health irrespective of one having fibroid or not. They contain high content of processed sugar and has no health benefits.

5. Oily foods

Most of our meals are made with oil. Too much oil when taken in can harm the heart and eyes. And the residue of these fats may settle around the growth. Example, french fries, fried chicken, fried meat

6. White bread and pastries

Processed carbohydrates like white bread contain high content of gluten, sugar and milk which one should avoid when treating fibroid.

7. Red Meat

example is cow meat,beef, sausage. Its best to shift to vegetable protein like beans.

8. Pasta and spaghetti

These have no nutritional benefits, only starch

9. Foods with lots of salt in them

Cooking with less salt is the best. Less iodine to help regulate hormonal activities
